english people call soccer football, we call the other form american football, or gridiron... and yes american football is more physical, but in that case ditch american football and look up a sport called 'rugby, if u want a physically challenging game... they play with no padding or anything... and at the end of the day football (soccer) is the biggest sport in the world (maybe not in america) so obviously people must find it interesting...
