You are right. This speed could only be reached in laboratory. Usually the speed is about 2 times slower than this...

You never get those speeds though, AT&T doesn't take full advantage of the technology.

GPRS is 2G, EDGE is 2.5G, UMTS is 3G, HSDPA - 3.5G ...best is HSDPA, up to 7.2Mb/s

Im still shopping PDA phones and still dont know what to get.. Treos, wm6, or just bring my whole notebook? I have a Sprint aircard now which is sweet on my book everywhere! Ive tried the Cing cards with bad speeds in my area. The 3g works great but only in a few big citys which im no where near. Im a winmobile fan and own a x50v which I love. Please no Iphone comments, open wallet please. I want the notebook/internet in my hand but with carring my notebook and U720.

I dont think this says very much about the speed of the network because the 830 has a faster CPU and better web browser then the BlackJack has... a better way to do this test would be to connect the phone up to your computer then go though the phone to connect to the internet and do the test that way
